In the city of Bat Yam, located south of Tel Aviv, explosions occurred that caused fires in the affected buses, according to witnesses at the scene. Shmuel Malka, a doctor with the United Hatzalah emergency service, described that he arrived at the site of the first explosion, heard the second a few minutes later, and confirmed that bomb disposal units were inspecting the area for more suspicious objects.
The detonations did not result in casualties or injuries but caused alarm among residents and an intense mobilization of security forces. The first blast occurred in a parking lot, followed by a second explosion about 400 meters away. Subsequently, a third detonation was recorded in another parking lot located four kilometers from the initial incidents.
The General Commissioner of Police, Danny Levy, arrived at the scene to conduct an initial assessment of the situation. Although authorities have not provided additional details on the possible perpetrators of the attack or the motives behind the explosions, an investigation into the case is underway as a terrorist attack.
Security forces remain deployed in Bat Yam, conducting inspections and reinforcing security in strategic areas. 'Numerous police forces are at the scene looking for suspects,' mentioned Malka. Despite the tension caused by the incident, the absence of casualties has been seen as a relief for the local community.
